Description

This paper is intended as an initial vulnerability assessment of the City of Santa Barbara to future sea‐level rise and related coastal hazards. The objectives are to provide background information about sea‐level rise, present the likely sea‐level rise projections for the decades ahead and the general hazards that can be expected, assess the vulnerability of the City of Santa Barbara to future sea‐level rise, to analyze the risks that are posed and the City’s ability to respond to them, and to recommend potential adaptation responses for reducing the exposure to future risk from these hazards.
