Public Utilities Commission of the City and County of San Francisco

Published

Description

This report outlines the project spending details of projects funded by the bond issuance of the Water Enterprise of the Public Utilities Commission of the City and County of San Francisco (SFPUC). San Francisco planners used green bonds' proceeds to modernize a century-old sewage system, whose vulnerability to sea-level rise, torrential rain, and earthquakes posed a public health risk. Local planners and public utilities may use this report to inform their efforts in funding regional programs through green bonds, specifically Wastewater Revenue Bonds. Page 6 and Appendix A address the SFPUC's climate adaptation plan.
