Description

This study, prepared for SFO aimed to identify local flood risks caused by combined effects of extreme storms and sea level rise and to develop site specific adaptation strategies. The study focused on San Bruno Creek and Colma Creek both of which drain to the San Francisco Bay immediately north of SFO property. The study was intended to complement the Shoreline Protection Study that SFO recently completed to assess the vulnerability of the airport perimeter system and evaluate adaptation options for both 1%-annual-chance floods and sea level rise.
