Description

The goal of the Coastal Commission LCP Grant Program is to support local government efforts to complete certification of a new Local Coastal Program (LCP) or to update an existing LCP to reflect new information, changed conditions, and emerging issues, and to promote efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adapt to the impacts of climate change, and incorporate consideration of environmental justice concerns. All grantees have or will address climate change in some way, including through the development of vulnerability assessments, adaptation plans, and/or updated LCP policies.
