Description

This 2017 reports provides an assessment of various coastal impacts including flooding, extreme tidal events, sandy shore erosion and cliff erosion for the Los Angeles region. These hazards were then analyzed relative to a five different asset sectors: 1) Transportation Infrastructure, 2) Buildings, 3) Public facilities, 4) Sanitary sewers and storm drains, 5) Ecosystems. The project found that vulnerabilities vary by place and provides local governments with access to useful planning information. The process of working on this report helped to develop a community of practice on coastal planning.
