This study summarizes the current state of research on the potential impacts of anthropogenic climate change on San Francisco Bay Area biodiversity and ecosystem services. This paper focuses on terrestrial habitats, with brief discussions of intertidal wetlands and coastal and nearshore environments. Improved understanding of projected climate change impacts on natural habitats will contribute to the development of regional adaptation strategies. This is a state-funded research study sponsored by the California Energy Commission.
