Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in collaboration with the Encinitas and Solana Beach intend to implement a 50-year coastal storm damage reduction project. They aim to use offshore sand deposits for placement on the beach to designed initial beach widths. They have also developed subsequent renourishment cycles. This is the draft Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (EIS/EIR), which is a first step in getting the project approved.
