The paper is San Rafael's first step in responding to and implementing the city's Climate Change Action Plan, which was adopted in 2009. The paper presents the most current information and studies on sea level rise, particularly in the Bay Area. It is intended to describe techniques and tools that have been developed for adaptation, and present suggestions for preparing a vulnerability assessment and long-term plans for sea level rise.
