Description

This is the final environmental assessment needed to move a wetland restoration project forward in the San Diego Bay. The project would restore 11.03 acres of tidally influenced coastal wetland habitat and 1.41 acres of upland transition habitat, which are actions required to mitigation wetlands impacted by the San Diego Gas and Electric Company (SDG&E) South Bay Substation Relocation (SBSR) project. This report describes and analyzes the environmental effects of the Coastal Wetland Restoration at the D Street Fill Sweetwater Marsh Unit of the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge (NWR). It finds no significant impact allowing the restoration project to move forward.
