Description

Part of SCAG's 2020 commitment to advance racial justice and equity in Southern California, this reports highlights past transportation and housing policies and practices that yielded the inequitable conditions that exist today and provide a preliminary baseline assessment of racial equity in Southern California to inform future planning. Section 5 of the report assesses the environemntal components of racial inequity in the region. Specifically in regards to resilience and adaptation, this section examines the overall vulnerability of different demographic groups to climate change and looks specifically at vulnerability to the impacts of flood, wildfire, and air quality/pollution.
