Description

This report is the summary of extensive local modeling and analysis of the impacts of sea level rise - coastal erosion, dune erosion and flooding - on unincorporated Santa Barbara. The local vulnerability assessment included key factors such as tectonic conditions, coastline topography, backshore characterization, and wave run-up. The analysis compared conditions with and without shoreline armoring. These hazards were then compared to local assets including habitats, transportation infrastructure, and land uses.
