Description

The Long Beach Climate Action Plan (LB CAP), also known as the Climate Action and Adaptation Plan, was approved by the City Council on August 16, 2022. The CAAP provides a framework for creating or updating policies, programs, practices, and incentives for Long Beach residents and businesses to reduce the City's greenhouse gas footprint, and ensure the community and physical assets are better protected from the impacts of climate change. The Plan also details the City’s first community wide greenhouse gas inventory and climate vulnerability assessment that provided the basis of local data and information from which the recommended actions were developed.
