Description

In preparation for a changing climate, this research investigates what genotypes of coast redwoods perform best under drought conditions. The study measured the water stress for trees under normal and dry conditions in Humboldt and Mendocino County. The results showed that redwoods in the central coast were more resilient to harsher conditions, which gives insight into forest management plans as we adapt to future climate conditions.
