Description

This 2012 Climate Adaptation Planning Case Study for Oakland addresses climate impacts in section 3, including socio-economic vulnerabilities and water, food, and electricity prices. Section 3.2 focuses on adaptation strategies, which appendix A in the report summarizes. Appendix A lists the adaptation strategies identified including their advantages, disadvantages, equity concerns, and policies available to ensure that the strategies address the needs of all community members. The chapter also includes adaptation strategies for rising utility and food costs.
