Description

The Community and Watershed Resilience Program (CWRP) is a $70 million grant project funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the National Disaster Resilience Competition. The project is designed to address unmet recovery needs in the footprint of the 2013 Rim Fire and support climate resilience and protection measures for the local communities impacted by this disaster. The CWRPs three core projects to achieve these goals include 1) Community Resilience Centers to provide disaster protection resources to communities, 2) a Forest and Watershed Health Program, and 3) a Biomass Utilization Facility to support forest restoration efforts.
