Description

The Green Region Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Indicators Maps serve as tools for jurisdictions within the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) region to measure and track sustainability progress in the region across 12 categories and 29 sustainability indicators. Each map aims to foster collaboration through the sharing of best practices across the 191 cities and six counties in the SCAG region. The information included in the Adaptation Indicator StoryMap is designed to provide helpful information on the status of adaptation planning in the Southern California region and the degree to which policies addressed various climate change risks, from “acknowledgement of climate risks” to “adopting a stand-alone plan or general plan that addresses numerous relevant climate risks.” As policy and performance data relating to sustainability is constantly changing, the Green Region Initiative v5.0 is designed to represent a screenshot in time.
