Description

This is the sea-level rise vulnerability and adaptation assessment prepared by the City of Monterey for its legislatively granted state lands. These lands are tidal and submerged, and they support water-dependent and water-reliant Public Trust uses, resources, and assets. The assessment includes an inventory of vulnerable assets, maps of sea-level rise scenarios, estimated costs and benefits of risk and adaptation, and proposed adaptation strategies. This assessment was required by law to be prepared and submitted to the State Lands Commission, pursuant to AB 691 (Muratsuchi), Chapter 592, Statutes of 2013.
