Formally adopted in 2016, the City of Berkeley's Resilience Strategy identifies six long-term goals and recommends specific short-term actions to help address some of the city’s most pressing challenges. These six long-term goals include: 1) Build a connected and prepared community; 2) Accelerate access to reliable and clean energy; 3) Adapt to climate change; 4) Advance racial equity through resilience; 5) Approaches for City governance; 6) Approaches to build regional resilience.
