BayCAN is a collaborative network of local government staff and partnering organizations working to help the Bay Area respond effectively and equitably to the impacts of climate change on human health, infrastructure and natural systems. This equity definition was co-developed by the BayCAN Equity Work Group to help our network align in how we define equity and climate justice as well as what equity looks like within the adaptation space. Use this document as a touchstone for developing shared language around the core concepts in equity work.
