Description

This project addressed the San Francisco Bay Area’s near-term hazards and long-term impacts from climate change to the transportation system, to the health of natural systems, and to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. The project advanced progress on two multi-benefit projects illustrate new approaches to governance, financing, planning, and design to meet 21st century challenges of sea level rise and flooding. An adaptation implementation roadmap was also completed that includes roles and responsibilities for participating stakeholders from the local, regional, state, and federal levels, and that informs new ways of working at the institutional level.
