Description

The City of Los Angeles will develop a conceptual plan to mitigate the climate change threat of heat burden along the neighborhood pathways within the first and last mile connections of the MTA Orange Line (Bus Rapid Transit) Sherman Way Station in the working-class community of Canoga Park. The plan will foster a framework to explore and incorporate new technologies to cool streets within the service region, identify locations to add verdant canopies and shade structures along pedestrian and bicycle pathways, and strategize a long-term maintenance plan to sustain the proposed systems.
