Description
Using population and land use estimates, this study examines the ability of California’s water supply systems to adapt to climate change. It uses a statewide economic-engineering model to assess best water supply management strategies for different climate scenarios. While the policy results are preliminary, they indicate that diverse engineering and economic solutions that address multiple hazards will be needed to adapt to significant changes in climate.
