This report provides a high-quality, comprehensive vulnerability assessment of the Eastern Sierra region of California and the likely impacts it will face due to climate change. With the authors applying a special focus on tourism and the economy, the purpose of this report is to provide an understanding of the economic value supplied by the ecosystem services in the region, analyze how climate change may threaten the people, assets, and economic benefits of ecosystem services in the region, and specifically analyze how the effects of climate change may directly or indirectly affect outdoor recreation, tourism, and economic stability. The full report also provides policy recommendations for increasing climate resiliency in the region.
