Description

In the years since its adoption, the Lake Tahoe Basin Forest Action plan has been identified as one of the most effective plans in California for mitigating wildfire hazards and building resilience to wildfire. The Plan responds directly to the increasing threat forests face from wildfires due to climate change and was developed to proactively minimize the growing risk. The Plan charts a path for collaboration across property boundaries to accelerate landscape restoration and community wildfre protection through the effective implementation of many wildfire planning strategies.
